Exclamation Dumb Door Lock problem.

So today I was screwing around with the locks on the back door. I flipped the little lever inside that physically locks the door in. I flipped the little thing inward. The mechanism under the child lock switch I think. If I had a picture I'd show you all it. But long story short.. Lever isnt coming back down and it's locked inward thus making it so I cant shut my doors. I've tried every trick in the book to unlock it. But this dumb problem has gotten me...Any advice would be awesome! TIA!

I just don't understand the issue like completely.. I have done this to almost every single car my parents ever owned an I have and its never done this...It just wont open. HOPEFULLY this is a known "problem", or an issue that can be easily clarified.

Your problem was curiosity in messing around with something that wasn't broken.

Get a screwdriver and try to rotate the mechanism back while pushing on the door's "unlock" button?

From the manual, page 84, pull up on the lock tab (the knob at the top of the door sill) and then pull up on the outside door handle (like you were opening the door from the outside).

See if that will reset the lock lever.

My problem wasn't that it was curiosity. Nor did I say it was broken. You can do this to like 98% of cars and trucks. Guess not the TL..

I began on one screw, stopped still on the first screw. I said to myself...COME ON...There has to be a way to do this. This is so dumb... Haha.

My friend came down in one try got it without knowing....Haha. He pulled the knob outward and pushed the lever back up. I KNEW it was something simple. :P Starting the year already to a "screwy" start.
