DRL question.

So I got a set of Nokya yellow bulbs intended for my DRL's.

size 9005

So, I put them on, the right side doesn't turn on.
So I switch them around, now the left one doesn't turn on.

So I assume it's the bulb problem right?

Took it back to the shop, told them it doesn't work.

So they plugged it into their machine and tested it. And guess what? They both come on. WTF?!

So what could be a problem, what could be solutions?

Please help, I'm so frustrated with this.

Thanks,
Clement.

Oh and also, the when I put the stock ones on, it's fine.

Now at the moment, I'm running one stock, one yellow.

I had a simmilar issue when i changed the stocks to LED 9006. One would work and the other didnt. I had to switch the polarity on the wires for the one that didnt work and they both worked. Its worth trying.

So you mean switch the plug around?

When the shop tested it did they test it at 6 volts ? I am pretty sure thats what the drl runs at. The nokya's are not led so polarity should not matter.

No idea what Wattage they tested it at.
But surely it doesn't work on my car.

the bulb says 65W and my stocks say 60W.

I don't even know why they don't work. Now I just assume it's the wattage problem.

I doubt it is a wattage problem, I really can not see any possible reason for one bulb not to work. All they are is a resistive coil of wire in a gas filled bulb. They "should" work at 6 volts just half as bright.

Did you solve your issue yet?
This has never happened to me on my o4...

I switched out the bulb quite a number of times as well.
Each time I took them out and put them back in [or replaced] they fired up fine.

Not sure what could be the issue... Only thing I can think of is that the connector is not plugged in all the way with the bulb.
This happened to my buddy's Accord as we installed HIDs.
The HID didn't plug in properly with the connector... so we cut the bulb housing a bit and voila! Worked fine.

It's a DRL... doesn't need to be that bright.
But with these yellow bulbs... it is substantially brighter than the stock bulbs.
It also looks good, imo!

No, didn't solve it. It was pissing me off, harsh. Hahaha, pretty sure I connected it tight.
I heard the click of the clip engaging.

Ended up selling them. lol
Back to stock.
