Driver's Side Interior Panel - Replace where elbow rests?

I remember reading about a few 3rd generation TL owners having their top driver’s side panel replaced where your elbow would rest by the window due to their elbows resting by the window caused a dent in the panel.

Did the replaced interior panel develop the same dent as the old panel?

My 2005 5AT TL will need its 7,500-mile service in a month or two and I am considering having the dealership replace the panel. However, if the new panel is going to develop the same indentation as the current panel, I will skip on this repair.

Well, I would say you are going to have the same problem. I have a 2 month-old 2006 TL, and I have a nice dent in the door panel where my elbow rests.
