Driver door power lock works half the time

My front driver side power door lock works about half the time. The half of the time that it doesn't work it tries but has trouble getting all the way up or down. When I pull/push it by hand I can't find any increased resistance in the guide/knob. I assume that is most likely the actuator is wearing out or something is loose but I thought I would check in with y'all to see what your experience has been. Thanks for the help.

Definitely sounds like the door lock actuator is on it's way out.

I replaced the actuator and it's as good as new. Thanks for the advice.

A little further advice to anyone else doing this work:
If you're removing the rear window guide like I did, be careful when you pit it back in that it's on the correct side of the blue cable that goes to the lock cylinder. I put it back in wrong and it puts the cable in the path of the window when it comes down. Took me 15 minutes to figure out why my window was struggling to go down when it reached 2/3 of the way.

I had a similar problem where I had to manually lock EVERY door and then I could set my alarm...I had to replace a damn fuse assembly by the drivers side to fix that...now, after finally getting my locks working again, I have the issue you posted above. The lock seems to unlock sometimes but most of the time I have to unlock the car with the key in the door and when I go to lock the car I have to manually lock the drivers side door and that enables me to set my alarm and walk away.

I cant wait to get rid of my Acura. Got a Tesla Model 3 on preorder....

Have you considered that maybe your driver's door lock actuator is bad and you need to replace it ?
