So lately with the rain my car has been randomly locking the doors on its own. When it stopped raining it stopped doing it and today it rained again and its doing it again. Basically what happens is I will unlock the doors and then in a random amount of time it will decide to lock them. Its very odd. This has nothing to do with the auto lock/unlock options in the MID as I have disabled them trying to figure out what is going on. I am scared to leave the keys in the car because at anytime it could lock me out. I am going to take it into the dealership but just wanted to post it up here to see if anyone else has experienced this and knows what the issue is.

Ever had the windshield replaced? I've heard of a few cases where water leaks into the ECU after a windshield replacement wasn't done right.

Not that I know of, I bought the car used though I am the second owner. The car has a Honda windshield.

Water in the ECU, that can't be good.

Hrrm.... Warren has had the same issue, although not ONLY when at rain, but at random. I got to experience it once & it was almost damn near impossible to get out.... the door lock kept poppin back down & locking... even when pulled up by hand. He took it to the dealership several times & they could never reproduce it. (murphys law huh)) Never did follow up with him though. You should PM him & see if they figured it out : WPS007

Yeah thats the exact issue I have. I was sitting in my car and I hit the unlock and it would just lock again instantly. I had to have my hand on the door handle and hit unlock at the exact same time to open it. Very annoying. I will PM him, thanks Roger.

This is a super long shot but have you tried taking the battery out of the remote? I'm sure that's not it but it eliminates that variable.

I will try this when it starts doing it again. Its really random, I have a feeling it won't do it when I bring it to the dealer.

My 08 is at the dealer right now for this issue, among others. Mine happens when I have my elbow rested on the door rest, and I make a right turn. The pressure of my body does something to something inside the door. There are other threads I found here that had similar issues. Try reproducing it like I did. To be honest, this is apparently a common problem with Acuras and ur dealership should be aware of it, and most likely they are. Good luck.

The remote was not the issue, tried that and it made no difference. However the dealership I went to all they did was disconnect my battery and reconnect it and it has not done it since. If the issue resurfaces I am going to take it back. Waiting for it to rain again and that will be the moment of truth.
