Door wont autolock in cold/wet weather

My doors wont autolock when it is raining or below freezing. Locking the doors through the key fob or pressing the lock button doesnt work. I have to manually go around to each door and lock it. The strange thing is that the doors start autolocking when the weather improves.

Any ideas on what the problem can be? I am clueless and just ran out of warranty.

Not a pleasant thing to hear but, Im going through a similiar situation with my 06 A Spec and my mechanic concluded its MICU going out for the second time in the past year. What really triggers me to think this is you said it worsens and improves based on the weather and thats exactly what mine is doing. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply

A quick search of azine shows that the MICU unit and fusebox under the dash are one. What was the damage when you replaced it the first time?

Mine did this but the opposite. It would lock itself during bad weather. Pretty sure it still does this but I haven't parked it outside in bad weather in a couple years now. Sorry I cannot be of more help, good luck it is very annoying I remember.

As Anthracite Aspec posted, mine does the opposite as well. With the ignition in the ON/Start position my locks cycle 2x then automatically lock themeselves after closing the driver door, I have full use of both the remote fob and lock/unlock buttons on the door however it simply locks itself everytime the driver door is closed with the key in any position but off. But to answer your question, the first time I had the computer replaced I spent just at $700 and that was with a 10% discount from my family mechanic vs letting the local Acura dealer do it. I can also say that mine is weather related, yesterday it reached 70F and the locks where fine, it rained in the later part of the evening and the locks where still fine. Last night the temperature didnt get below 35F and my locks where also fine this morning despite it raining this morning. So I am thinking that my problem is pretty mcuh "cold" related. I believe my mechanic said the MICU "Im not sure what it consists of" is just at $400
