Door Stopper Screw

While installing my Anti scratch tint moleskin this weekend, I ran into a little problem..

On the driver door, the screw you have to remove that has the rubber stopper on it, would not come out. The nut that it screws into was not crimped tight or something and just spun freely with the screw.

I finally got it by wedging a pair of needlenose pliers behind the trim to hold it. (Got it back together the same way)

While the trim was off, I peeled back the plastic seal in there to try to feel the back of this "nut" and it seems like its just a fork thing that snaps into place.

Is this a replaceable part? I couldnt find any detail drawings of how it is assembled.

I had the same problem. You are talking about the white or pink plastic clip that it screws into correct? You can just pick up new ones at the dealer I replaced them all because my tinter I think used a power drill (they all do) and it stripped it.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this is a 07 Type S

Its a circular piece. Metal ring on the outside, plastic on the inside (which the screw threads into)

Pretty sure we are talking about the same thing I was talking about. Shouldn't be any different from the '05 TL I had. More than likely the plastic wedge piece is just stripped that the stopper screws into.
