Door-lock beep confirmation stopped working

Got my 2006 Acura TL back from the body shop (minor fender bender affecting the passenger front fender / passenger door) and the door lock beep confirmation stopped working when using the remote. The door lock mechanism works and all the doors lock but no beep. The trunk and hood are closed properly. Checked the settings on the MID and the beep confirmation is turned on. Neither remote 1 or 2 have the beep anymore. As well, the red light security indicator on the driver side door no longer lights up when the doors are locked.

Also, I have the setting for auto door lock >15km/h turned on and I've noticed that now when i'm driving and accelerate from a stop, the car continues to try to lock doors every time I get above 15 km/h, as if the car doesn't know the doors are already locked.

Any idea what the problem is?

Hood latch maybe got unplugged . Either that or the passenger front actuator may be on the fritz .

If the MID doesn't say "welcome driver 1" or 2, try re-programming the fob keys a couple of times . They probably un-hooked the battery at the shop to work on your car and as a result, the computer forgot the driver memory. This usually fixes the problem on the 2007 and 2008 models but it should work on earlier models.

The MID still had the "Driver 1 detected" message when I got the car back from the body shop. But I know that they disconnected the battery because I had to re-enter the radio code. So I went ahead and reprogrammed the key fob anyways. No luck.

How about the siren itself? Did they do any work near the fenders?

The siren? That generates the beep sound? I didn't check that but it seems as though it's not this. Not only is there no beep confirmation sound, but also the signal lights no longer light up on the second press of the lock button on the key fob.

Is there a lock sensor of some sort on the vehicle? Something that detects whether or not the car is actually locked. If there was such a sensor, it feel as though it is faulty.

It's not beeping or no lights because it's not arming... because one of the door lock actuators, hood sensor, or trunk sensor is seeing the car is in the 'open' position..

I'm thinking it's likely related to the door actuator on the passenger side since they dismantled that door to blend the paint into the panel for the repair. The hood and trunk sensors weren't handled during the repair process. What's the easiest way to confirm that it is the door actuator?

Easiest way: take it back to the body shop that 'fixed' your car and have them actually fix it.
