My dome lights light up when I touch the brakes. I have had the car about 2 weeks. 2007 TL. Thanks for any tips.

 

When you are in Park and hit the brakes do the map lights come on?

may be a bad ground problem....
any front end or rear end cosmetic repairs.

The high mount brake light and map lights share a ground under the passenger seat.
You could check that ground by adjusting the seat to its highest position and slide it all the way back. There are about 5 or 6 black wires that are bolted to the chasis.

 

No accidents. I paint in a collision shop for a living so I know exactly what to look for as far as damage. I did have one friend that works for Acura tell me I may have a ground issue because when I bought the car it was throwing several b codes. He cleared them and they have not come back other than the code for the navigation I am assuming because I do not have a disk in it. Guess I need to start checking grounds. Thanks for the advice.
