Does Certified Pre-Owned Cover Paint??
I don't have my paper work with me. I've searched and haven't been able to find anything... here's my dilemma.. I bought an 07 Type S back in May (which I absolutely love!)
Anyway, I noticed the front corner of my car looked like it had some paint work done. Some imperfection I guess you could say - kind of a swirl. Hardly noticeable though. When washing my car last night I sprayed that area with the hose and the paint started to come off a little bit. Stupid me, I forgot to check the Carfax when buying the car. Of course I was excited and the fact that it's a CPO I just didn't think of it. The car is straight. Drives great and there are no rattles. My guess is that it was just repainted due to some minor damage.
I'll check my paper work when I get home, but do you guys know if this will be covered by the CPO warranty?? If not I'll deal with it because the car is in near perfect condition otherwise. Regardless, they will definitely hear me out b/c their paint guy should be fired!
Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Many dealers for CPO cars will have the bumpers resprayed if they had some nicks on them. My rear one was redone under the CPO, and I am noticing it's now cracking. So I am taking it back once I get back in town from my trip. Car Fax won't show this.

Wrong. If it was done under CPO before it was sold, the dealer has to warranty the work. They have on our 09 TL that had a area repaired and the clear started to flake later. We took it back and they fixed it.

I'm going to check all of the CPO paper work tonight and see if I can find anything. I want to make sure I know that all that I need to before heading to the dealership. I'll let you know what I find and what happens.

Now the dealer may warrant his work, but it's not under CPO.
