Do wiper and light stalks light up?

Do wiper and light stalks light up?
Just picked up an 07 base and I love it! But I have a really bizzare question, noticed last night that the letters on the windshield wiper stalk and the turn signal/headlamps stalk behind the steering wheel don't light up when the parking/headlights are turned on. Are these supposed to light up when you turn your lights on? I could've sworn our Accord did that.
