Dealer quote?
So I was quoted 1700$ for timing belt service parts, labor etc. looking through the site I was wondering what other stuff I should get checked while in there. 1700$ is a bit high but I don’t want to do it nor have the time on my hands right now. I asked them about the oil pump seal and they said adding that would be $3500. Is that normal to jump 1800 in cost of labor for a 5$ gasket? I know you have to drop the oil pan. But am I crazy thinking that’s high right now?

Ajgray1986 - I see you are in DE, you might want to check out this thread and while there are a few recommendations, I know there have been several forum members that have been happy with work done by NSXavier. https://acurazine.com/forums/mid-atl...region-952713/
The older I get, the more I see the logic in buying new cars or slightly used, and then selling them at 50 or 60,000 miles.
especially today when used car prices are so expensive, it doesnt even make sense to trade (for another used car)
