Dead bug in my taillight....
So as you can see.. I have a dead bug on one side of my tail and a tiny stone on the other. What's the best way to approach to remove these? I'm a bit OCD and hate this kind of stuff.
My plan was to make an small incision from the edges of both tails and suck it out with a vacuum or something. After that I was planning on siliconing them to not let water get through them. Any help would be appreciated. I received feedback from another board member to use a shop vacuum but I tried it but it didn't work for me. Let me know your thoughts guys..

I was reading other threads and recommend using water to shake it out.. But to leave the taillight to dry In the sun before even thinking of installing it back. Not sure if I should approach this method ..

When I had some dust in my taillight, I used a strong air compressor and just blew it from the back, surprisingly it worked, since I thought it was a sealed unit. May or may not work for a bug inside, but an air compressor might be worth a try

The way the housing sits inside the lens, it's hard to remove (if you open tail lights to mod, you understand )
i picked these up for a member on here, from a car that has been sitting for a very long time...
these will be modded next season, though so no more bugs.
did you remove the LED board or turn signal bulb?
once you remove the LED board, it is no longer considered "sealed"
there's a lot of air passage around the diffuser once the LED board is removed. again, easier to visualize if you've cut open tail lights.
i believe bugs make their way through the gaskets.

Damn GP, that would drive me nuts to see those gigantic things in my tails. I have that one bug that I just want to get rid of and I might just spray some water through the signal hole or the diffuser it self and shake that sucker out. The other tail has a tiny pebble which I have no clue how that would of gotten there and most likely will leave that one alone. I bought these from another member on the FB Acura Forum. I wish these tails were bake and open and then seal but they're not. UGGH!!
I would advise against spraying water in the tail lights.
It destroys the chrome/reflective coating.
On another note, I'd rather do tail lights way more than headlights.
I know you're pretty handy, so all it takes is a dremel and about 20 minutes per tail light to open them up.
I hate working on headlights as there's so much room for error.
Tail lights on the other hand are much easier and 100% sure no condensation or leaks.
Speaking of tail lights, I plan on doing a detailed DIY for modding tail lights.
I have a set of base reds sitting around that a buddy gave me as a trade-in for making a set of "red stripes" tail lights for him, so these base reds will be made into red stripes soon.
