Dead Battery
Dead Battery
Hey, it is my first time posting on the forums, but I've been coming here a long time just to look around. I have a 2006 Acura TL, and I cannot start my car. None of the interior lights work, the keyless entry doesn't work. This is the third time this has happened, the last time it happened was tonight. This is the second time in a week. I took it to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong except a bad battery, even though that was changed in January. I think its a bad alternator, but they said it was fine. Can anyone help me figure out what is causing this, or if anyone has had an similar things happen in the past?
Did they replace the battery for you?
You can ask them to check the alternator, they have a standard test. If alternator is fine, and new battery worn out in a few months, then there could be a leaking current in the circuit, or you abuse the battery for example without the engine running play music for extended time, and do lots of short trip making the battery don't have enough time to be properly charged (every time you crank the engine it uses quite a lot of electricity).
dieing battery is not good for the alternator, it makes alternator work hard to keep the system a steady voltage, battery is cheap compare to an alternator.

Sorry for wasting a new thread, but I looked around the forums and I think I found the problem here.
