Damn pothole

my newly bought 05 hit a big pothole on the freeway while I was changing lane. Heard a loud bang when I hit it. Since then, the car sometimes acts a little bit weird. Like when on the freeway, it kinda steers over to the sides. Took it to a repair shop where I usually have my old car aligned, and the tech took it out for a spin and said that the car was ok, it was just leaning to the side a tiny bit. I'm still concerned about it though. Is there anyway I can do a test of this? I just hope that no structural damage has been done. And I hit the pothole with the driver-side front wheel, and the problem seems to be from the passenger side.

did you get the alignment checked? is there a vibration? tire bulge? you're missing info here that would be helpful for us to help you.

If you hit a "big" pothole most likely you have a broken sidewall on the tire. As Tltrigirl said do you have any bulges on the tire. Alignment will be skewed and that's what is causing the pull. Get tire checked out, and get an alignment check.

Thanks for the reply guys. I didn't get an alignment checked as the tech told me that there was nothing to worry about. Anyways, just took it to the shop again. Another technician checked it out and found nothing wrong with it. But they said that re-balancing could help so I went ahead with that, it was just 15 bucks. It did help though. The car is more stable now. I think the pothole threw the wheel out of balance a bit.

that's what I'm afraid. But I'm just hoping for the best. I didn't see any bulge or visible damage to the tire or wheel, and the technician didn't either. So, keeping my fingers crossed. kinda tight on cash right now after buying this baby last month
