Damn Navi....

I was on the fence about doing the Nexus 7 tablet install, but now that my Navi just died "error reading disc" crap. I did the clean Laser lens diy but think it made things worst....Navi display screen goes very dim when headlights are turned on and second I cannot set the current time on clock.

Any help on this before I do the Nexus 7 tablet full conversion is appreciated.

My drive from Alibaba has been in for about 7 months, started acting up intermittently last month. When it quits for good this time, I'm done. Not worth throwing money at.

Yes, navi controls the clock.

I read that you can disconnect your negative battery cable before 12:00 and reconnect it right at 12:00 so the clock restarts. My navi doesn't work but I haven't got around to that "trick" to see if it fixes the clock.

Good luck.

Damn Navi?

That's what I say every time that DAMN thing takes me out of the way and around in circles. Usually, its something a little more on the side of "God Damn F**king Piece of Shit". Whomever wrote the routing algorithms for the '04/5/6 Nav system should be shot. Now it doesn't do that every time mind you, but when it does, I want to turn into Tony Soprano and do a hit!

And I have the 2012 disk BTW
.

It's all the reason I am going to the tablet install. No more second guessing from a system that is unreliable.
