Cylinder 1 misfire detected
So my check engine light has been coming on and off once in while for about a month or two intervals... I hooked up the obd2 reader and it said "Cylinder 1 misfire detected". Does anyone know what could cause this? I just changed my spark plugs a couple of months ago and replaced them with the oem iridiums so i dont think it could be the spark plugs? Any help is appreciated!

it could be a bad spark plug. Buy a new one and take out the old one and inspect it and check it for cracks and such. The plugs are pre-gapped so you don't need to redo that portion. Put in a new one and see if it stops.
As well when you take out the plug, check the coil pack for ANY damage! Be careful with it as it very fragile!

I had the same problem when acclerating hard, took it to the dealership and they ran all these test and could not figure out what caused the CEL. They suggested trying a different brand of gas. I've switched from Chevron to Shell and so far I haven't seen the CEL again.
