CV Joint:[

So i just got my passenger axle replaced and it started clicking again today. To my dismay when i took my wheel off and looked at the outer boot it was broken and there was grease all over the place, on my wheels, caliper, suspension, so i definitely know it was the CV boot which was leaking. Now my problem is how do i know if all i need is a regrease and a new boot, which im hoping I can do myself or do i need a whole new CV joint or half axle...This is an immensely frustrating ordeal for me and I am already agitated. Thanks guys for any help you can give to me. A quick response would be ideal.

Also it only jerks under power, if i throw the car in neutral everything seems to be fine and there is no clicking or clunking or steering vibration. Does that mean it might be something else? Either way the boot is torn.

Normally clicking under acceleration is caused by an inner CV joint, but if clicking is heard during turns, outer CV joint.
If the axle was just replaced why not have the installer redo the job?
I usually grease and replace the boot if the joint isn't making any noise, but you'll need to remove the axle, split the axle apart to install a new boot, not a quick job and the split boots are useless.
