Cruise Control partially working

Will be driving my car and cruise control will be on and engaged then just stop being engaged. Replaced the brake pedal switch a couple of years ago, and replaced the steering wheel cruise controls last spring. Just installed a new app sensor. Cruise control still working part time. Any ideas?

OK, here's an idea, I could be totally wrong. My '05 Honda Accord Hybrid (3.0 V-6), had an issue with the module or part that tells the computer where the transmission selector lever was at. I don't remember the code. If I bumped the gear shifter while it was in cruise, it would turn off the cruise control. and sometimes the cruise control would just turn off without even touching the gear shifter.

Thamks for the reply, I took it to a shop and they diagnosed it and it’s the yaw sensor that’s acting up. They quoted $1500 to replace it.

damn never saw this reply. $1500 for the whole job. Now the cruise control doesn’t work at all but arms. The steering wheel switch was replaced in late 2021 and the servo sensor early last year and it still worked on and off.

are your tail-lights working properly or do you have a LED out? I'm chasing a similar issue but think it may be the fusebox/MICU as my driver door is not unlocking properly when it's warm outside.

I know this is an old thread but I searched the forums and your symptoms match up with mine almost to the tee. No other hits for these issues.

Symptoms:
My driver's door does not unlock all the way when I hit unlock on the fob. I have to put my key in the door to unlock it all the way. It also doesn't lock all the way when I hit the lock button on the door or the fob. I have to push it down manually. It is super hot here in NC lately, I didn't think that was related but you seem to think it is.

My cruise control stopped working after I depressed the clutch and changed gear while it was ON and SET. Now it comes ON but it never SETs, not matter what I do. I've smacked the module and all the buttons like they owed me money.

My tail lights are working but I haven't checked if an LED is missing. I did have someone flash their brights at me from behind so maybe they're only working intermittently.

I've tried unplugging the battery for a day, hoping that would fix these issues (have you tried turning it off and on?). It did not. Did you ever find a solution for this?

Still have the spare fusebox/MICU and tail-light sitting at home waiting to be installed. I did notice an LED out on the 3rd brake light and replaced that with no change (used from salvage yard).

I've had a water leak from the top driverside A-Pillar that I'm working on fixing first that might be killing/getting water near the fusebox/micu.

Someone on MDX'ers had a similar issue and replaced their brake switch. I might try to swap the one from my TL-S over to the TL and see if it fixes it.

I've undone the battery countless times with no impact/changes.

The bottom clutch stop pad turned out to be my issue with Cruise Control in case anyone reads this in the future. Infamous 46505-SA5-000

Still have the driver lock problem. I do get water in my A-Pillar too.

I had the same problem as well and it was the push button switch on the steering wheel that engages the cruise control.. and not that the switch was inoperative the button just wouldn't stay pushed down so I put a piece of tape over it & problem solved

If you ever decide to replace the 36770-SEP-A01 Cruise Switch, Set/Resume Switch, search that part number.
They can be had used for low $$ or new under $100.
