Creaky door seals - Talcum powder?
'06 TL w/1500 miles - Main noise issues:
1) Metallic buzzing sound which appears to be coming from inside where the radio is. It resonates at highway speed vibrations or rough roads. I think I'm stuck with having the dealer involved because of its location. I'm worried that it's going to be a pain to get fixed because of it's location and worst of all it doesn't do it all the time (which of course means that it won't do it when I'm at the dealer) . Anyone seen anything like this before?
2) Creaky door seals, panels, and window trim. It seems to me that these creaks are all due to the rubber the seals rubbing on metal/glass/plastic when the frame flexes. I've seen the DIY for the window creaks, and heard about the silicone grease for the seals (also heard it attracts dirt and doesn't last too long), but has anyone heard about using a fine brushing of talcum powder as a lubricant instead? I seem to remember hearing that talcum works as a door seal lubricant but don't want to try it if it doesn't work, makes a mess, or is bad for the seals. If anyone tried this or heard about it, let me know. Thanks,
Mick

I usually lube my door seals with vinyl type cleaner every other car wash. It does a good job for me. The rubber seems to soak it all in really quick, and they stay quiet. I know if a don't do it for awhile I'll hear strange noises coming back.

Genuine Honda Shin-Etsu Grease
When I had my S2000, I learned about a product called Shin-Etsu silicon grease. It works great to keep the seals squeek free, and to keep them from drying out. I use it every couple of months with my TL. You can get it at the parts department at your local Honda dealership. I think it's about 13-15 bucks for a tube, but the tube should last you forever. A little goes a long way. If you use too much, it gets all over the place. Just put a dab at the start of a seal and run your finger down the seal to apply it. Once it's in place, I rub it into the seal. The more you clean up the excess, the better because it does get the edge of the windows messy. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys. I'm actually bringing the car in today for them to check the buzzing coming from inside the dash. If they have it, I'll pick up some of that silicone grease while I'm there (or run over to Honda).

Has anyone tried taking the car to the dealer and complaining about the creeks in the door seals and have them fix it? It's getting to the point where it's annoying, and I want to have the dealer take a look at it.

Minimal help from the dealer
I have taken my 05 TL to the dealer 8 times with the squeaky window problem - they have replaced the seals, lubed them with he silicone stuff - nothing really fixes the problem. (The lub lasts for a couple of weeks only)
If you push (from the inside or outside of the car) on the drivers window, there is a fair amount of "give" and the sound can be heard. I tried pressing on the other windows on my car and they seem firmer. The issue appears to be related to how easily the drivers window can be moved.

I noticed my drivers door started making minor creaking noise while driving, but if I barely tap the window down button it stops. The window only moves around 1/4 inch down, but the noise disappears. Will lubing the seal stop it? Is this the noise everyone is referring to?
