First time poster on here, just created my account and hoping someone can help me out!!

I picked up a 2007 TL type S about 4 months ago. It is a US car that the original owner imported here and sold to a dealership which I bought it from there.

Problem is...

When I turn the car on and leave the head lights switched off the dome lights flash and I get these weird codes. b 1100 30 is the main one and I can cycle thru about 4-5 codes that are similar. When I switch the headlights on the codes go away and everything is fine, but if I switch them off the lights flash and codes re-appear. This prevents me from leaving head lights off during day when I don't need them so I have to have my lights on at all times.

Has anyone seen this problem or have a fix for it? I've checked the forums can't seem to find anything.

sounds like an electrical gremlin. id take it in for a look over at a dealer or indy shop

 

Do the codes show up if you leave the headlight switch on auto? You should still get it checked out but that would make them go away temporarily.
