Crank Pulley came off broken, 2 pieces
So I decided to change the drive and timing belts I encountered this:
is this common? How could this happen?
I have already ordered a UR stock size pulley, let me know if this has happened to you.

it certainly looks like it.
Something tells me trolling...
"went to change my drive and timing belts" as if that's normal maintenance. Either that or you left off the part after that there you whacked the crank pulley with an 8 pound sledge to try and get it off.

Looks like you may have used the wrong type of puller. The outer rim of the pulley is bonded to the hub with a heavy rubber layer & it sometimes lets go, yours probably was on its last legs.
