Crackled/Cracked Clear Coat
Has anyone (besides me) noticed crackled clear coat on your TL? I had it parked under the carport with bright overhead light (dark outside) and couldn't believe my eyes. I had to call my husband out to verify.
I've only had this car for 4-1/2 months, so this isn't something I expected.
Just wondering if I'm the Lone Ranger on this or what.

Was the area in question on a bumper or steel body panel??
Last night I only saw the crackling on the hood. I will check better today to see if it's anywhere else on the car and see if I can get any pics either today or tonight.
My car is usually not clean enough to see this effect, but I washed it yesterday afternoon and no rain yet...
Will check on that and post pics (if possible) as soon as I can.

Can't see it in the daylight. I will have to wait until tonight when the overhead light comes on. That light just seemed to catch the cracks in the light perfectly. They were very fine lines/crackles, so I hope they will photograph. Will talk to dealer and see what they say.

Are you sure it's not just swirl marks? Swirl marks are hard to see up close and personal on certain color cars and you may only see them when light hits it right. If you are experiencing spider webbing in the clear coat you should be able to see it even under almost all lighting conditions.
