Crackle around front right of car

I've noticed there has been several threads about crackling sounds around the front right part of the car. My problem is this... coming to a stop around 1 to 3 mph I hear what sounds like a crackle. No adverse affects happen, just the noise. It sounds more suspension related as it seems to only happen with mild innertia. It happens immediately at acceleration too, usually mild acceleration, sound is more mild on acceleration still between 1 to 3 mph. Of course no luck with the dealer, they just want to get you out the door with some poor excuse, like, "I didn't see anything" or "I couldn't duplicate it". If anyone has had their car fixed or troubleshot down to a location, please let me know. To me it sounds almost as if a wire braid untwisted and is scraping the plastic wheelwell splash guard (to be more specific).

I have the same problem only when its cold outside, I took it to the dealer and they said everything looked fine. It might be one of those noises you have to live with.

I have the exact same problem in my 05tl. Two trips to my dealer and I could not duplicate the noise. Does it most of the time. Replaced my front brakes thinking they were going bad with 36k on them and were the cause. Made no difference. Cold or hot. Always just before the wheel stops or begins to roll.

Go out and push down on your car right above each wheel. If you hear the noise, it is your suspension. If it's not your suspension, get in the car, and go through all your gears (if auto) with your foot on the brake. Pause between each shift, and if you hear the noise, it could be your motor mounts.

I had this problem, brought it to the dealer and they replaces part of 1 mount, and said it was better, which of course, after driving away, I heard it again. They also said that my exhaust and intake make noise so it could be that that I was hearing LOL. I was like nope, my exhaust does NOT make a creaking noise.

I think I am just going to buy after market mounts instead of bringing it back since they won't fix it.

My car had a similar problem. At idle and accleration it would have a clanking noise which came and went from the right side of the hood. I brought it to the dealer and they replaced the serpitine bearing and belt then the problem went away hope that helps.
