Cracked radiator...

Guys,

I have a crack on the top (plastic part) of my radiator. It is a very small crack and very little fluid is leaking out, but Im sure it will turn into a big hole if I dont take care of it. If anyone has a D.I.Y. with pics on how to replace the radiator on an 04 TL I would appreciate a link.

Thanks!

Drain the engine coolant.

Remove the front bulkhead cover.

Remove the upper radiator hose and lower radiator hose from the radiator.

Disconnect the fan motor connectors.

Remove the upper bracket cushions, then pull up the radiator.

Remove the fan shroud assemblies and other parts from the radiator.

Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.

Fill the radiator with engine coolant, then bleed air from the cooling system.

Fill the coolant reservoir to the MAX mark with Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2

Install the radiator cap loosely.

Start the engine and let it run until it warms up (the radiator fan comes on at least twice).

Turn off the engine. Check the level in the radiator and add Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2, if needed.

Put the radiator cap on tightly, then run the engine again, and check for leaks.

Clean up any spilled engine coolant.

If you have some time and money to spare I would highly suggest you get a coolant funnel kit, use that in place of a radiator cap, fill it 1/4-1/2 with coolant and just let the car run in till the fans kick on.

I got the radiator installed in about 30 minutes. Really easy. I also bled the cooling system. Everything is working great. Thanks for your help.

One thing though, I decided to change my spark plugs after... didn't realize the back 3 were gonna be such a pain, but got some good tips from threads here.
