Cracked dashboard

Just noticed a 6 inch crack in my dashboard on my recently purchased 05 TL near the passenger side airbag. The car is flawless with 50 k miles and I can't believe this happend. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do ??

from what i've read you have two options, replace dash or buy a cover.

I suggest you read through these threads (and search for others) carefully. Some Acuraziners have gotten adjustments from Acura on this known problem. Search is your friend!

1) Contact Acura Client Relations and your dealer and see if they will cover all/part of it... if they do you will still probably have to pay a good amount yourself.

2) Buy a dash cover

3) Live with it

I also have the crack. It also is by the passenger airbag and got a few inches bigger since I first saw it half a year ago. I just hope it doesn't get any bigger. Some people here are less fortunate and their dash is cracked everywhere.

I too have the same issue but I live in Florida and for some reason whenever I park my car and go to work and I come back after like 3 hours since its so hot I guess it draws the crack together and it's like the crack glues its self perfectly ...but as soon as it gets cool it separates again ... I was wondering maybe there was a glue I can buy so when it get hot inside the car and it glues it self together the glue would just hold it in place and keep it together ... Any ideas anyone ??

^what do you mean "any ideas"?

read the other replies in this thread. this is not a new issue, people have been dealing with it for years.
