Hey thanks for the reply. When your headlight fogged up from gas station car wash how did you remove that? I have the.engine hood opened and removed the DRL.....hopefully that helps .

I removed the DRL bulb and will try that tomorrow. Got it done by AckTL. I don't want to remove bumper because I paid for the custom headlights, if I did them myself I would understand having to fix fogging issues....but this is exactly why I paid to get them done....to avoid issues. I just hope it does not ruin my ballast or my aftermarket HID bulbs.

i have a lot of experience with headlights. condensation will not ruin your ballast or bulbs, they will be fine. to remove the condensation you have to wait until a hot day and just wait for it to evaporate. Or if no hot days are coming up anytime soon you can take out the drl bulb and maybe blow in it with a hairdryer to speed up the process, it'd probably just work slower without a blowdryer. anyways, to avoid it again you will need to re-seal it. the thing with tl headlights is that it doesnt have screws on the back like a lot of headlights nowadays do to help the seal so its common for the seal to come loose after being opened once. you can re-seal it by opening it up, replacing the stock sealant, and then seal it properly again. However, the MOST crucial thing is to seal it when it is 100% dry. if there is any sign of moisture it will get trapped in the headlight with a proper seal and that moisture will just be permanently fogging up the headlight.

No hot days anytime soon. I used a hair dryer it barely did anything. I removed the DRL bulb and will drive around and it will hopefully get the condensation out. The vendor told me he can fix without removing headlight........And where do you put those silica gel packets? You put them in the headlight....? If so how do you remove them afterwards?

I think I am going to turn on the hibeams and turn signals for it to heat up the inside and since i have the DRL bulb out hopefully condensation evaporates.

by the way turning on high beams will not benefit any more than just the low beams. because the tl has a bixenon projector, high beam is same as low beam except the cutoff shield is moved down. it does not produce any more heat to help evaporate the condensation

good luck with your condensation problem, hopefully it is only because of moisture that was trapped in the headlight while it was being sealed up. because if it is a case of a bad seal, then removal of the headlights is required to fix the issue.

This sounds like the fastest easiest fix. I just hope they aren't flammable. I cant believe new headlights would do this. Im so pissed. And the company I brought it from is like "they have a year warranty, Just send it back to us. So to get a replacement, I have to send it back That means driving around with no headlight. HELLLLLA MAD about this.

I don't think shop would reseal the headlight. If you just bought them, try to speak with the vendor. Explain that you need the headlight and you can't send one back before you get a replacement. Worst case offer to pay for another one, so they will refund you when you send the faulty one back.
If they are brand new, I wouldn't try to fix them myself.
