Clutch stuck on floor?

I went to start my 05 tl today and the clutch became stuck in the lower 1/3 of the travel. I couldn't get it into any gear. So after repeatedly pumping the clutch and turning the car off and on a few times. It finally came back up and now everything works normal again. Is this the clutch salve master? Or something else? I changed the fluid and bled it properly when I was doing my brakes about 6 months ago.

Edit, I am leaning towards the master at this time. Its popping and making a binding noise when depressed. Any way to diagnose which one is the culprit?

I say clutch master cylinder, but check system for any leaks.

I'll be doing that tonight. Is there always a visible external leak when one of these cylinders fails?

No, but check the slave also for any leaks. If they are resonably priced, I usually replace both at the same time.
