Clunking in the rear

Well the dealer has changed the whole rear passenger side strut and checked the torque on everything but there is still a clunking in the rear when you go over bumps sounds like its just the rear passenger side . Any ideas ?

They drove it and it was still making the noise but in the front . so they checked the front out again and it was a broken motor mount. All good now

I have 05 6spd (55k)Never really had the rear passenger clunk noise till NOW....I had the 24mm rear progress strut bar install before I lowered the car, Everything went well drove fine NO noise until the remove the 24mm progress bar and back to stock 20mm and I get this STUPID ANNOYING clunk over small bumps all the time(passenger rear wheel area) it makes me feel like nuts loose or my wheels or suspension is gonna break off or come loose but all is TIGHT.....shiet! I shouldn't have sold the bar!!!! aaaarggh!

I had the same thing happen to me when I lowered my car. I lived with it for a year then I got a progress RSB and new ENDLINKS. The noise is gone. I think it's the endlinks that need to be replaced.

The dealer has my 07 TL-S for this same issue. They are going to replace both rear shocks. I was hoping that would fix it, but after reading this I am a little skeptical...I guess we'll find out once I get it back tomorrow.

So what is it? Endlinks are old but look fine,no tears etc. Sounds like metal to metal contact, you can hear under normal driving conditions with little uneven roads.

I looked under the car like 5 times everything looks good everything is tighten accordingly, still passenger rear clunking like something loose or broken. I checked all Nuts etc. nutin loose, its really bothersome ... enough to sell my POS. First steering wheel shakes now this aargh. My next car imma leave Stock sheeesh!

I have the Progress RSB, and although it doesn't clunk, it "creaks" when I have passengers in the rear, or I go over speed bumps.

What do you guys think it is? Could it be my coilovers or my tophats?

klunk in rear

I have a 2003 Acura TL. I live in northern Vermont were the roads are rough and the rear has a aggravating klunk. I have checked and can find nothing wrong. I guess no one else has any ideas about it either. I like the car but klunk is aggravating. Help

Unhappy Rear suspension clunk

I know this thread is old but I have a 2003 Acura in good shape and it has the clunk rattle. I like the car but it is very aggravating on northern Vermont roads. I replaced the rear struts and it is still very much there. Checked everything and cannot find anything wrong. Did anyone solve this problem. Help Please
