Clunk from driver's side when accelerating
I am getting a slight clunking sound whenever I am accelerating from a stop. I'm not sure if it's still safe to continue driving but I am currently about 400 miles away from home
The sound only comes when I am accelerating from a standstill.
My hypothesis is that the sound is coming from my transmission since the dealership found and repaired a transmission mount. Any ideas?

Sounds like it may very well be that. Have some hit the gas with the hood up and car in park or neutral to see if it can be reproduced from a standstill while you are looking at the motor/tranny.
id say you have a bad side engine mount and possibly a bad front motor mount. theres no transmission mount, only 2 poor excuse for a support looking things under the transmission that attach to the subframe.
I've had that same issue for the last few years. The clunking is slight, but doesn't happen every time I take off from a dead stop. And when it happens, it's typically when the car is cold.
I'm gonna have it checked out as my extended warranty has just a few thousand miles left to go.
