Clicking sound when turning steering wheel

Have you guys noticed a clicking sound when turning the steering wheel? I started to notice this a few weeks ago when I rolled down my window and pulled in slowly into a parking space. Its definitely not coming from the interior.

Doesn't seem like anything is being harmed, but I just wanted to double check...

cracked cv boots or not, you have a case of bad CV joints
Take it to a mechanic to make sure.
CV - constant velocity shaft- is the front wheel drive version of the driveshaft.

If you look inside the wheel under the car ther is a round bar from the wheel to the transmission. There is a flex rubber boot at each end, if torn, it means water gets in and grease gets out, bad combination and common problem on cars of all makes.
Also can wear out without broken boots -- doing burnouts and donuts big killers of cv

With the right tools its not hard to replace- or take it to a shop.
Call auto parts store for price

The click click noise is the bearings

Thanks! Very informative. Now I just gotta take it in... I hope its not bad... At least its covered by warranty.. Its not like I drive aggressively even (no donuts or any crap like that). Never ran over things that would cause damage... I wonder how this could've happened (if this is what my car is suffering from...)...

I hear more than clicking...When the car is cold, and I accelerate hard while turning right or left, I hear a CLANK,CLANK,CLANK....very fast like at the speed of the wheels. I wonder if same problem. I guess I will head out and check the boots at least. The problem goes away after warming up....a few terms. Maybe got water in the boots and frozen????

Took it in and got the right Front half shaft replaced under warranty. Said it was bound up a bit and not moving freely. They took out the other side and said it was fine. Also said that they have seen this a few times before on Auto and Manuals

The only issue is I had a TSX automattic loaner. Not a TL, happy to be back and shifting my self.

Hey TLTrance-
How did you ever make out w/ this?
Mine is going into the dealer, in 2 weeks (could have gone in sooner, but w/ no loaner) and I know I have a torn CV boot.

thanks

With torn boots the grease is all going/gone away- thats BADDDDDDD
This is a rotating part that makes the car go and may just suddenly stop

That may not be covered by warranty- read the fine print in owner book before going to dealer. Some things are considered wear items- like brake pads
Sure if the cv fails and boot is good- warranty no issue- but.....
