Clicking sound when I press brake pedal?

Today I noticed that when I brake I hear a faint clicking noise when I step on the brake pedal. Anyone know what might be the problem ? It's coming from the drivers side. Thanks.

I thinks that's normal-- probably the brake/shift interlock switch on the auto trans TL, which permits you to shift into gear only while pressing the brake pedal.

^That. Usually you can feel the click if you put your hand on the shifter console.

Does the brake light work. If doesn't work check the brake pad switch locate under the dash. It called the brake light switch.

I'll check tomorrow sounds odd though as it just started happening. Never heard the noise before. It's more of a "click" "click" "click" then is gone when I come to a complete stop. The clicking noise is annoying me lol.Anyone else with an idea ? I'm guessing its the brake pedal switch? Anyone with a part number ? Thanks.

Wait, is it a constant click? or just once every time you depress the pedal? Look, our cars sometimes have a problem with a worn out Brake pedal switch which is part #:36750-SJA-013. This usually causes very dim brake lighting or brake flickering even with the pedal depressed (bad connections within the sensor/switch), but no clicking sound assosciated with it. If you're hearing a click every time you press the pedal,at a certain point, it's probably what we already mentioned: the interlock switch. Why it's making noise? I have a 6MT lol. But my first accord was an auto and made the same click everytime i pressed the pedal. Never caused a problem though.

Now if it's a constant clicking while you're holding the pedal down, i'd look elsewhere.

Yeah it's more of a constant clicking and stops when I come to a complete stop. I found this thread it's kind of old though lol. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/brake-pedal-clicking-sound-550569/

So the sound is outside of the vehicle?

It could just be a loose brake pad shim that unhooked it self and is tapping against the caliper. Check your pads & report back.

edit: about your 3rd brake light:are you sure it's out and not just dim? mine had the same problem intermittenly. Hard to tell in broad daylight though. Replace your switch (see my previous post). its less than $20.

Fixed the 3rd brake light, and my mechanic said the clicking sound is normal.

Yes the noise is coming from outside. Could it be the loose brake pad shim?

check your caliper bolts....check the caliper pistons...check the fluid level...

also check the condition of the brake lines, does the brake pedal feel soft?

any leaks?
