Cool Clicking sound from my '07 TL w/ tech pkg.

Since the very beginning ( April of 07 ), my TL has been making this rather loud clicking noise in the morning when I just begin to roll it out of the garage. I back it into the garage and on my way out of the garage, when in "drive", as soon as it starts to roll, maybe a couple of feet after it starts to roll, it makes this rather loud clicking sound as something maybe broken in the tranny. In fact I have even noticed it at the parking building of my work. At work, I first back it out of the parking space and then switch to drive and as soon as it starts to roll out ( while cold ) it makes that clicking sound. I have not yet heard that when it's warmed up. Maybe I should pay more attention to it when it's warmed up already. Does yours do that -specially- when cold? The dealer who I am not very impressed with so far tells me that is the sound that comes from VSC ( vehicle skid control ) initializing/engaging. Anyone else experiencing this sound?

I remember there being a thread about this a while ago...the consensus was that this is normal. I notice it too, especially in the cold. Maybe it is just louder on your car (as it is not loud at all on my TL).

Thanks. That is quite odd. The other day, I was behind a red light right next to a white '06 TL. I asked the driver to lower her window and asked her whether hers does this or not. She said no but then she seemd as the type that keeps her window up all of the time w/ her AC on. Hence, she didn't hear it due to the sound insulation. I do have a very good mechanic friend who is coming over this weekend. He is the only mechanic I trust w/ my cars. He said he'd have a look. I will let you know what he says. Thank you very much !! :-)

it comes from the brakes...both my accords made the same noise when you go from forward to reverse and visa versa....its the pads inside the caliper or the caliber itself...either way, its a normal noise...

its due to the slack that is inside the caliper that allows for pad movement...

noise like a rock hitting the windshield!

I Have A 2006 Tl. I took it in last week for the Power Steering Hose recall. I also asked the service adviser to find out what the noise was that occurred when I started my car, like a rock hitting the windshield. The tech said it was a solenoid for the A/C vents and nothing could be done about it. I called Acura and complained that nothing was done about the noise and I was not satisfied.I talked to a case manager who will look into it further. She said she had never heard of the problem before. my advice to all acura tl owners who have this noise, instead of posting here. call Acura and let them know this is a widespread problem and something should be done to alleviate it.

Call 1 800 382 2238 and let them know that this is not an isolated problem. Thanks!
