clicking sound on initial take off

I have a 07 TL-S with 25.5k on the odo. I made an interesting observation. I hear a click after the car starts pulling from a stop.
To put the click into perspective it is the same click that you hear when you have the transmission in Park and press and let go the brake pedal with the key in the "on" position. If you go and try it now you will hear the click. I know that this is built in to all transmissions to prevent gear changes unless the brake pedal is pressed, so it is linked to the brake system and unlatches or lets go of teh shift lever making shifting into D possible.. Now in my case I am hearing the same click but when the car starts to pull from a stop, about 1-2 seconds after the initial roll. On my previous car this switch or mechanism had gotten stuck requiring to change it out. I wanted to find out if other people have heard this click and if this is something that is common to the TL as I hear it on my wife's 06 TL too but her car has almost 90k on it and I think I did not hear this click on her car when it was at 25k. Any feedback will be appreciated.

there have been many of us with the same problem so it is a well know issue. Some went to the extreme of fixing it but most of us learned to live with it

it used to annoy me but i got so used to it that i completely forgot about it....

i know it sucks a little but nothing to really worry about. i even took it to the dealer and of course they saw it but said it was normal. so i gave up and as i said already, i dont even notice it anymore.

It is strange cause I just started hearing it. So something must have changed. If it was not there on day 1 it shouldn't be there now. I have a service visit scheduled, I will bring this up. Wonder why this happens though. Did the dealership call it a feature rather than a bug? I usually get a lot of that!

I notice this only when I shift from reverse to drive, 5AT.

Experiencing the same "clicking" on stop and start

I just started experiencing the same clicking noise that you are talking about. I have an 08 with ~30k on it and the noise just began. It was definitely not there before.

Did you have any luck in having the dealership fix the issue? I don't know if I can learn to live with it like others have.

Thanks

The '07 and '08 are still under warranty, make it Acura's problem before it festers into something serious. You spent good money for the car, demand that it doesn't click.
