Angry Clicking noise (what should I check for?)

I have a 2007 base TL (automatic). Recently I've noticed when I leave for work in the morning, I can hear a faint "Clicking noise" that seems to correspond with the rotational speed of the wheel. Once I'm up to speed (above 20mph or so), the clicking disappears. Even if I slow back down and accelerate again. Nothing.

If I put it in park and pull the hand brake, let it sit for a minute or 2, then accelerate again, I can hear it. If I'm on an open road, I can't hear it at all, so I've been trying to diagnose it in a parking garage, where the sound is loudest/most apparent......lol.

I have looked under the car (as well as I possibly could without putting the car in the air) and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. It seems like the sound is coming from the driver side rear. I did install the Progress rear sway bar about 6 months ago, but the install went fine, and I didn't have any noise up until very recently. All of the wheel lugs are tight as well.

If it makes any difference, my parking/hand brake seems to pull up abnormally high (I'd say about 75 degrees or so) which I noticed a while ago. I don't know if that could be related in any way, but I would appreciate some feedback/direction!

I plan on putting the car on stands soon to get a better look. Anything you guys would specifically look for?

Any help would be awesome!

Check your lug nuts. Probably isn't the cause but its a quick thing to check and rule out as a possibility. Also the parking brake just needs to be adjusted, it can be done 2 ways, through the center console or inside the brake drum star adjuster.

The parking brake wouldn't cause any noise from being loose though

Thanks, man. All the lugs are tight, that was the first thing I checked (cause you always hope it's the easiest fix. hahah.)

It's probably also worth mentioning that the clicking happens even when the car isn't under load. In other words, you can hear it while coasting as well. Not just under acceleration or braking.
