Every time i leave my garage i hear a clicking sound coming form somewhere in front, i also hear it while i drive from time to time, any idea what this could be? big problem, or just what it does? help if you can thank you

 

If it sounds like it's coming from the steering wheel, it could be the problem I'm having that the dealership will be fixing for me this friday..

it seems that right at the base of the steering/dash board..(eh i guess right above where your legs are, is some mechanism that shifts temperature etc etc...it's more a flap than anything...and that mechanism may be jarred broken or faulty.... in which case it just needs to be replaced...

for me, the clicking sounds always starts when i turn on the ignition...and then goes away after a few minutes, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.... and you can distinctively hear it coming from somewhere in the dash/steering column

 

If it does it at low speed and more pronounced with turning the wheel- think CV joint
Check under the car for torn boot on CV= grease goes out- grunge goes in

 

If you no longer are on warrenty how would you get a cv shaft? any ideas? I cant find one any where. They all say car is too new. I cant even find an 04 cv shaft

 

thanks guys but i dont hear it when i turn. its just in the morning or if its been off for a while and also from time to time as im just driving, like after stop but its more some days then others, very strange, also dont think its from the steering wheel, more of a sound from the trans
