Clear sticker on side skirts normal?

I just washed my 2 week old car for the first time today. I noticed there is a clear sticker on both side skirts at the back side. It looks like a clear bra type material. I was thinking maybe it's there from the factory and the dealer forgot to peel it off? Anyways, I was afraid to peel it off and do damage to the paint so I left it on.

I don't have a side shot of my car so I am using a general pic to outline the shape and location of the sticker on my car. Please let me know if any of you have this sticker on your car. Thanks.

yup, That is a rock guard. It is`there so you don't get chips in the paint from your front tires kicking up pebbles. I'd leave it

Really? My 04 TL didn't have it though. Does your car have it also?

Ok, thanks for confirmation. Any suggestions on removing the wax dust that gets stuck around the edges of this rock guard sticker? I guess a wet q-tip should do the trick.

Actually I used to own a detail shop and I found it easiest to buy a paintbrush and cut the bristles so they are only about 3/4" long. Also wrap the metal part in electrical tape so you won't scratch your paint. This also works great for around mouldings and emblems. Hope that helps...
