Chrome in Fog Light Chipped

A few weeks ago, my HID bulbs in my fogs blew. Without thinking I just took it out and didn't get a chance to order new bulbs until a few days ago. After I dropped the bumper to change the bulbs I realized there was water inside of the fogs.. so I removed the fogs so I could remove the water. After attempting to remove the dirt and water out of my passenger fog, the chrome chipped off. My driver side fog was fine but it was a different story for my passenger fog. Eventually threw on the new bulbs and fired it up. It seemed fine in the day time but after driving at night, I realized the passenger fog wasn't as bright anymore. It was very noticeable..

Has this happened to anyone? I'm not sure what I should do.. should I try to repaint the insides of my fogs chrome? I would probably have to bake the fog housing then..

Thanks!

Well, you can either paint the inside chrome or replace it.
