Chipped paint everywhere on front of NBP, anything that can be done?
Hey all,
I recently purchased an 04 NBP, and i didnt really notice (like an idiot) how much the front is chipped up. I think it is worse than most at that year. It almost looks white in some spots. Is there anyway to improve this, besides getting a new front hood and bumper or repainting the whole car? Will touch up paint help, or can a detailer do anything with it?

That "almost white" stuff is likely accumulation of previous waxings.
But no, you def. don't need the whold car repainted. That hood is totally removable and can be repainted by itself (if it's that bad).
Oh, and congratulations on your purchase!

wow, thanks. I dont' think it is an accumulation of waxings. It looks like a lot of highway driving that had rocks chip it all over. Or it could be a combo of the two. I didnt know multiple waxings would do that to a car?
Most of it is on the front bumper and hood, and partly on one side. I guess I could just get those painted, but wouldn't that look funny in comparison to the other parts of the car? Or will it blend nicely? And how much does that cost? anyone know

Do a search; Acura's paint isn't the greatest and NBP owners complain the most because the damage is more visible. My '06 NBP with 44k has the same issue. You could get the hood, fenders and bumper painted. Expect to pay close to a grand or more for a proper job, unless you know someone in the business.
