I couldn't find the right answer. This came on today when I started the car up. It seemed a little hesitant/delayed but started fine. When I got home I shut it off and waited a few minutes. The car started up fine but the message still displays. Anyone know what's going on here?
Here's some additional information. Take a look at pg. 255 Owner's Manual.
Starting The Engine (Cars with Automatic Transmission)
If there is a problem with the starting system, you will see a
‘‘CHECK STARTING SYSTEM’’ message on the multi-information
display when the ignition switch is turned to the ON (II) position. You
will also see this message when the auto control mode of the starting
system has a problem.
If this message is on, the ignition switch has to be held in the START
(III) position manually until the engine starts. The ignition switch
can be held in that position up to 15 seconds.
Even though you may be able to start the engine manually without
the auto control mode of the starting system, have your vehicle inspected
by a dealer.
I forgot to mention, I checked the OBDII but no code. Does this mean my starter is about to die? I'm a little confused on what I've read through some other threads.

Update:
I started the car the next day and the warning was gone. I haven't had the issue since. The only thing I can think of is maybe I turned the key too fast/in an awkward movement when trying to start it and maybe the system thought it was a fault?
I replaced the battery maybe 2-3 months ago and everything is on there tight. The starter looks all original, I'll keep an eye on things but no issues a week later.
