Check fuel cap light
Check fuel cap light
My driver info center thing says "check fuel cap".... I've tightened it and put on another fuel cap on it and its still on.... Is there a way to clear this code or is it something else.
^yeah but it'll come back eventually. it's a known issue with our cars...there is a thread here somewhere exposing what part/sensor it is that needs to be replaced. try a google search with the word acurazine in it and it should be at the top of the list.
there are like 100 threads on this topic, I even think I made one a long time ago. should be a TSB but I don't think it is sadly.

^^^ was it the thread with the seal cracking ??? coz i have seen that sometime back....
OP, if you really wanna clear the code, reset the ECU by disconnecting your battery for 5-10 minutes....before you disconnect make sure you have your radio/navi codes handy

at your S/N....i bet all desi's have been to that website LOL
well you dont need to take it to any shop....it will clear by itself (HOPE)....
you can do the following:
1> wipe the fuel area well (with the fuel cap closed)
2> make sure the cap is nice and tight
3> disconnect your battery for 5-10 minutes (hang onto your navi/radio codes)
4> connect your battery and start your car....
if the light doesnt come on your all good....if it does then its prolly a broken seal
