Charlotte folks, need your help...
so i think my crankshaft pulley/belt will need to be replaced soon, i have the infamous chirp from the belt/pulley. im not sure if anyone in the area has changed them out but if you have, i would be willing to provide any needed beverages for those willing to help.

Don't know much about this or how to replace it but I would want to participate and see how it is done! I'm sure you will get alot of help, especially for some beverages Good luck!

i actually just printed out the service bulletin on the 'chirp fomr the timing belt area' and called Hendrick and explained my situation. he then asked me if the car has been in for all the services (i.e. 30k, 45k....) i told him im the second owner and when needed ive done them myself (not sure he liked that idea, me doing the services and taking money away from them). anywho, he said its a $45 diagnostic fee to determine what the problem is. either 1) crankshaft pulley OR 2) the service bulletin (08-031) damn, what to do.....

I guess your warranty is out, right? If you call Hendrick Acura again talk to Keith Kirkpatrick and see if he can help you out, just say you know Alex. He *might* be able to work something out for you.

yea, i mentioned possibly being eligible for a goodwill consideration but he told me that would depend on the District Parts and Service Manager or Zone Office aka a long damn paper trail.....

Crankshaft pulley is easy to replace IF you have the Honda Pulley Removal tool. Costs about $30 from PartsAmerica.com.
If you decide you need to replace your stock crank/drive pulley AND you have the pulley tool, lots of people in the Charlotte area that might be able to help you out. I've got most of the tools, but not the Honda Pulley Removal Tool.

yes, unfortunately i DONT have the Honda Pulley Removal Tool...hmm maybe i could 'rent' one and coax a few members (with tasty beverages) and upgrade my pulley....BUT, im not 100% that is the issue, i think my issue is more the service bulletin 08-031. thanks to everyone for your input!!!
