Center Console Side Garnishes are $350 to replace, I have your fix for free: inside
Agreed! Are those the chrome fitments on the side of the center console, because mine are worn. I'd love to see the pictures that were previously posted, but those links are busted.
Oh, and I did something similar on mine... the drivers side paint was all scratched up like the OPs, but instead of sanding, I simply used 91% rubbing alcohol and the paint came off (with a little bit of rubbing). This left the original pattern intact, but shiny instead of painted. One thing to note is that the shiny metal does cause a little bit of a glare when the sun is hitting it. Not terribly annoying, but noticeable.
Attached is a pic comparing the drivers side (paint removed) to the passenger side (still painted).
Eventually, I'll do the rest of them so they all match (and maybe try something a bit stronger like goo gone or goof off)... though of course with any of this, you need to be careful not to touch other parts of the console/dash or you might mess up the finish.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I did the same thing as DogP using 91% rubbing alcohol and MagiErase. Stuff came right off. It looks good, but is susceptible to scratching. Just gotta be careful with the keys.
