Center Console Panel - Pocket B Panel Won't Close

Can anyone offer any insight on how to get the 'this is not ashtray' tray to close (bottom one #10)? I only see threads on 2g's & 3g RL's.

I also don't see the 'latch' that is being mentioned in the diagram. And the part # doesn't match a 3G TL.

I popped it open and now it won't close back down and 'snap'. only had gas card stored in bottom and a few pens in top, and I don't see anything blocking it.

I had mine do that when I installed my iPod hookup. You might have to take the side panel off to access the little latch. I think it either pops out moves or something. If it worked before, just take the panel off and look, it will work again.

I think there's a spring or something on the side that controls the "locking" down of it. You might have to take it out to fix it.

Thanks both. I figure there is some kind of spring or something, I didn't see it and the diagram doesn't list. I thought if it's still coming down like it use to but just not snapping closed I've got to finagle something.

But my concern is I've got to take the center console out to get to it, yes?
One thing I didn't want to do, but I guess I may as well replace the console lights that are out while I've got it taken apart.
