hey

i bought a flood 07 acura tl type s..it has a locked engine..it was driven through a puddle and locked.

i installed a used engine..car started up. i flushed the trans fluid. everything done professionally. but i get a CEL U0155 which says lost connection with the cluster..i got a cel light, airbag, abs, low gas and the steering wheel controls wont work on chaning the cluster menu.

i took off the carpet and the computers are all dry and didnt get any water inside the car, so i have no idea where to go with this.

has anyone ever experienced this kind of problem before?

before i take it to the dealer and get raped!

 

have you cleared the code? has it come back? if so sounds like some diagnosis is needed. depends on how far you want to go. Does the horn work? sounds like it would need a cable reel as far as the steering wheel controls, horn, and airbag light go.

 

code wont clear, i saw a guy on here with a mdx get this code and the exact same lights came on his truck..once the dealer fixed it. the lights all went away, i think the clusters just not connected somehow, which is why the controls dont work.

but i was wondering if anyone might know what parts i need to replace. my mechanic and i are completely stuck!

 

Im sorry to hear this...I never wanted the electronic issues associated with "flood" cars...have a buddy who bought a flood SL500 cheap, and all he has is problems...OP, I hope you get it all sorted out!

 

I always buy flood cars from insurance company. I currently drive a 09 rl drove through puddle and I put a engine. Runs perfect. But this type s is the 1st problem I've had.

I know all european cars after water are fucked up. Stay away from those
