Cel p2279..

This code popped up after I got my valves adjusted. I had my friend who ones a shop do a smoke test and found not vacuum leaks. Anyone come across this problem?

Would a leaking intake cause the piston's to misfire and read a code P0302 followed by the P2279?

Yes. check all hoses and ported connections on the engine to make sure everything got re connected after the adjustment.
