CEL Flashes under high RPMS, then goes away. Doesn't store codes. Any ideas?

Hey everyone. I'm having a frustrating issue with my 06 3.2 TL Base w/ 92k mi.

Everything's been serviced at the dealer because I lack the skills it takes to fix my own car.

The issue is a flashing check engine light that goes away and stores no codes. It happens if I'm going about 65 and punch it to pass. It's not WOT or near red-line...

The timing belt and components were replaced at 85k due to a weird noise coming from the right side of the engine. There was no valve adjustment, and spark plugs were not replaced. The dealer says they can't replicate the problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Random misfires.? I had the same problem in my '04, and it happened to be that the ecm needed to be reflashed (there was a TSB for this).

If this never happened before the TB change, I'm gonna guess they didn't do the crank position sensor reset procedure or they f'd it up.

Could be a sensor not plugged back in. There are about 8-10 different sensors that get unplugged for this job. They may have missed one.

Also, as already mentioned, there are a couple of TSB's for ECU reflash for a MIL during heaving acceleration. Not sure if your car is covered. Check the TSB list.

Thanks all. According to the dealer the ECU has been flashed, and the TSB's don't pertain to my car (or any 2006). I have no idea. I'll change the plugs and hope for the best. I just don't get why the light goes away, and even if it does, why won't it store the codes?

for the sake of clarification, could you elaborate on which sensors are disconnected? Just wondering as I am considering diying the job. I dont see much mention of sensors in the 105k diy.

is the crank relearn the same thing as the idle relearn?
