Car shakes when I press the gas
Hello,
For a little while now I have been noticing my car shakes while I am on the freeway. At first I thought it could be a bad road or maybe tires are starting to go bad but today I drive down a completely smooth freeway and found that my car shakes when I press the gas. It becomes very noticeable when I hit the 70 mph mark and really shakes when I creep to 80. I wanted to know if anyone has had this issue before and what did you do to fix it? I looked online and they said it could be my front axle. If this is the case would this be something that is covered under warranty as I still have my 100k mile warranty. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you start with the simple, most likely causes, then work your way down.
It's probably simple wheel imbalance, or a bent wheel. If not, then you a higher mileage car could have worn suspension links. These are all easily checked out at a good shop. If not, then you may have other issues with a worn suspension, or drivetrain, transaxles, etc.

Providing the car is shaking when speed is maintained at the 75/80 mph range, find one of these:

Could be many things. The least likely is your cv joints. Most likely tires going bad or bent rim. If your tires are starting to feather make sure u check the shocks. Also if u think its the motor mounts pop the hood, have a TRUSTWORTHY friend sitting in the car, stand next to the front wheel, have them hold the brake all the way down (parking brake also to be safe) have them put the car in reverse ( just in case make sure there is nothing or nobody near the car) and while holding the brake tap the gas up to maybe 2500 rpm, NOT GRADUALLY, just tap and let go, then put car in drive and do the same, if the motor rocks a large amount, it's time to change the mounts, be sure to do them all at one time
I'm having the same exact issue. I Personally don't think it's the CV, i'm not hearing any clicking, nor did I notice any rips in the boot when I changed the tires I was told however that my rim had a crack/dent in it, I also know, I need motor mounts.
