i just notice this problem today. usually when i hit the lock button twice on my key fob, the door would lock and i would hear a beep noise that activate the car alarm.

i have the car factory alarm and just notice the problem today. i check to make sure all doors, trunk, and hood is closed.

anyone know why my alarm is not activating? or doesnt make the beep noise when i hit the lock button twice on the key fob?

did you go through the user settings to make sure the beep was still activated?

 

and the beep (chirp) is just a confirmation. Once doors are locked, the alarm is activated. To test open door, push in the sensor with your hand lock doors with remote and let go of the door sensor. Alarm will go off.

 

Check to see what door isn't locking, sounds like so bad door lock actuator.

all my doors are locking and my hood is definitely closed. but when i use the remote to lock the car, i hear the doors locking but no chirp and no flashing lights and no alarm flash on dashboard. any ideas?
