Use the bolts as per the SM procedure. Don't bang. If that doesn't work, then try the spoke wheel to retract the pads. You'll be retracting them later on anyhow....
Guess we didn't, but knew you'd rise to the occasion and come to our rescue. Hope he gets the car done in the near future.

Hey, guys thanks so much for the help I don't have the time to do it today but I should be able to get to on on Sunday probably.

nfnsquared: THANK YOU, for posting that. I thought I searched through the garage pretty good and couldn't find anything about removing the rotors which I found hard to believe!

With this information I feel very confident that I can get it done now.

I still can't believe you had that much build up that one good smack from the BFH would not vibrate that stuff off. The CL needed this done on the back rotors when we were taking them off. I get why the nay sayers are against using the BFH, but hell, sometimes you gotta get creative with it. As far as beating the shit out of the rotors to get them off I think that is stretching it a little. All you need is one or two good smacks. When we changed the timing belt on the CL I had to use a car jack to "lift" the engine up a little so we could re-align where the belt wraps around. Like I said, sometimes you gotta get creative with it and use what you got.

Hope you can get it done bro and good luck!
